Light Up Night

On the Friday before Thanksgiving, Pittsburgh celebrates the start of the holiday season with Light Up Night. This beloved tradition draws over 200,000 people downtown to see the city decked out in lights. Watch fireworks launch over the Point, see Santa arrive by helicopter, and take in musical performances. The center of the festivities is the Pittsburgh Christmas tree in Market Square, where choirs sing carols and everything lights up at 7:50 pm. After the official ceremonies, hop aboard your Pittsburgh Party Bus Company vehicle to easily reach other neighborhoods participating in Light Up Night like the Strip District, Lawrenceville, and East Liberty.
